The Suffix -ig

This "causative" suffix means "to make, cause to be":

• beligi – to beautify
• malplenigi – to empty
• sanigi – to cure, to heal
• mortigi – to kill

The Suffix -aĉ

shows the speaker has a low opinion of the thing in question:

• hundaĉo – cur
• knabaĉo – brat
• skribaĉi – to scribble
